The Paul R. Brown EPIC Center, on the campus of Zane State College in Appalachian southeast Ohio, is a state-of-the-art learning environment. The design for the new facility was challenged by a narrow, gentle inclined site that sits between a hillside and a busy state route highway. The design for the new facility takes full advantage of the conditions by being situated at the crest of the incline, thus increasing the building's exposure and visibility.
