The project entailed the design for a new 70,000 square foot, 600-student elementary school to be constructed on a 12-acre site. The site was generally clear and has a slight elevation drop from north to south and east to west. Near the north edge of the site, there was a wooded area that had to remain undisturbed and comply with Dublin’s tree replacement policy.
The new school building plus a 70-car parking lot, entrance drives, playgrounds, and play fields had to be constructed as required by Dublin City Schools and City of Dublin guidelines. The entrance to the site is located opposite the entrance to Glacier Ridge Metro Park, which required coordination of the work with the Metro Parks office.
