Kenyon College Quadrangle

The new quadrangle (also called the West Quad) development of a new library and academic quad is part of Kenyon College’s plan to form an interdisciplinary hub in the heart of the campus. Sands Decker was part of a design team comprised of more than a dozen consultants for the project including the building of a new state-of-the-art library to replace the existing library, an underground parking garage, green space and walkways above the garage, and plans for a future academic building and admissions/financial aid building. Unique features of the project were the design of a large, LEED-certified rainwater cistern and underground detention.
