The Paul R. Brown EPIC Center, on the campus of Zane State College in Appalachian southeast Ohio, is a state-of-the-art learning environment. The design for the new facility was challenged by a narrow, gentle inclined site that sits between a hillside and a busy state route highway. The new facility took full advantage of the conditions by being situated at the crest of the incline, thus increasing the building’s exposure and visibility.
