The design and construction spanned more than five years and involved a very challenging and thorough review process through Dublin City Planning and Zoning as well as Dublin Engineering. Challenges included extremely small stormwater allowable release rates and limited area available for storm detention. Ultimately, we designed a solution using underground storage and innovative outlet control devices including “Thirsty Duck,” which saved an estimated $200,000 in site construction cost.
