Sands Decker was contracted to help the City of Columbus to mitigate frequent street and yard flooding at the Olive/Westgate and the Brinker/Olive intersections. We provided topographic and utilities survey as well as construction drawing and specification preparation for replacement of existing under-sized storm sewers. Due to existing utilities, the new storm sewers needed to be elliptical in order to meet the capacity and dimensional requirements for the project. Sands Decker investigated and presented several alternative elliptical storm sewer options and found an acceptable solution for the City.
