Chipotle

Sands Decker is honored to have been selected to be on the team with Red Architecture + Planning to provide full civil engineering design services and permitting for the development of scores of Chipotle Mexican Grill fast casual restaurants as well as renovations of existing Chipotle locations to add mobile order pickup windows, also called “Chipotlanes.”

There are nearly 40 sites throughout the country for this corporate initiative including locations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. Even though some of the existing locations were not initially planned with pickup windows in mind, Sands Decker reviewed existing traffic patterns, parking capacity, and pedestrian access to modify site layouts, as needed, to fit a pickup window and car stacking/queuing, all while complying with current codes from the municipalities.
