City of Zanesville – 4th and Shinnick Street Improvements

The Muskingum County Convention Facility Authority selected Sands Decker as the prime engineering consultant to provide complete civil engineering and surveying services for the project that included street improvements on Shinnick Street from 6th to 4th and on 4th Street from Shinnick to Market Street. Estimated construction cost of the site work was $1.3M; however, only $975,000 was budgeted for the improvements.

Construction Documents were prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Ohio Department of Transportation to include milling and paving; new sidewalks and curbs; new street lighting; new planters, street trees and benches; maintenance of traffic; and limited storm improvements. Our services included the following Ohio Department of Transportation Stages: Survey, Stage 1 Schematic Design, Stage 2 Design Development, and Stage 3 Construction Documents. ODOT staff was responsible for bidding and construction administration.
