The 210,000 square foot warehouse was to be located on a hillside along Route 33 between Logan and Nelsonville, Ohio. The Rocky Shoes and Boots project required special considerations in the stormwater system and erosion control design due to concerns about subsurface drainage from the partially excavated hillside behind the building.
An extensive sub-surface drainage system was designed to achieve proper drainage for the building’s foundation, and a sequence erosion control plan was also provided to keep the site workable and prevent siltation downstream. Our design included an access road to the site; site dimensional and grading plans for a stormwater retention pond, parking area, and loading dock; a sanitary sewer and waterline extension; and erosion control drawings and specifications.
